How many opportunities are you missing?
We won't ask whether you want to join BNI. We'll ask five questions about how your customers find you. The answer is yours.
What is BNI
Not a social club. A system for generating business.
BNI (Business Network International) is the world's largest business referral organisation. Dr Ivan Misner founded it in 1985. Each group brings together professionals from different sectors who commit to finding customers for one another.
Givers Gain®
If I help you win customers, you'll want to help me too. Trust, relationships and reciprocity, worked on every week.
What it isn't
- Not a business association
- Not a club for selling to each other
- Not just a breakfast for swapping cards
BNI's values
Seven principles that make it work
These are the rules shared by every BNI chapter in the world. That's why a new chapter starts out with a proven method.
Givers Gain®
BNI's core philosophy: if you help others win customers, they'll want to help you too. It isn't about selling to fellow members, but about thinking every week who you can introduce them to. The more you give, the more you get.
Lifelong learning
Every meeting includes a training slot, and BNI offers courses on presenting your business in 45 seconds, asking for specific referrals and giving good ones. The skills you gain are useful outside the chapter too.
Traditions + innovation
A method with over 40 years of history, used by 11,800 chapters around the world. The foundations stay the same, but they're kept up to date with tools such as BNI Connect to track every referral.
Positive attitude
You surround yourself with business owners who want you to do well and help you get there. A chapter with good energy shows it in its meetings, in the ideas that come up and in the eagerness to refer.
Building relationships
Networking is farming, not hunting. 1-to-1 meetings are for really getting to know each other, because nobody refers someone they don't know. People do business with people they trust.
Accountability
Attendance, punctuality, referrals given and closed business are measured every week. That's what turns a group into a serious business network rather than just another social club.
Recognition
Those who contribute are recognised publicly: who gives the most referrals, who brings visitors and who does the most 1-to-1s. A thank-you in front of everyone motivates as much as a new customer.

What is TYFCB (GNC)?
“Thank You For Closed Business”. When a referral turns into a sale, the member who received it announces it at the meeting with the amount. That way each chapter knows, in euros, how much business its members have generated together, and that's where these figures come from.
📈 A chapter nearby: BNI Huesca Conexión
It has met every Friday at 7 am since May 2017. Business closed between its members (TYFCB):
- since it started
- 23,456,774 €
- in 2025
- 4,308,054 €
- in 2026, up to 5 June
- 1,405,024 €
Figures presented by the chapter itself at its meeting on 5 June 2026.
How it works
A weekly meeting with a clear method
- 1
One seat per profession
Each group has just one electrician, one lawyer, one accountant… You don't compete: you collaborate.
- 2
A structured weekly meeting
Each member explains in 45 seconds which customer they're looking for. Everyone leaves knowing who to introduce to whom.
- 3
Referrals, not contacts
It isn't passing on a phone number. It's introducing someone who needs what you do and already trusts the person referring you.
- 4
1-to-1 meetings
During the week you meet other members to get to know their business and ideal customer.
- 5
Training and follow-up
Ongoing training in referral marketing and follow-up of every opportunity with the BNI Connect tool.
What's expected of you
Attendance and punctuality, as in your own business. Taking part, doing 1-to-1s, bringing visitors and giving referrals to others. BNI works for those who get involved: we say so up front.
What you get
A sales team working for you
New customers
Referrals from people who already trust whoever introduces you.
Exclusivity
You're the only one of your profession in the group.
Visibility
Every week, 30 business owners are reminded what you do and for whom.
Local and international network
Groups in Lleida, Cervera, online and worldwide.
Training
You learn to ask for and give good referrals.
Trust
Relationships that last for years, with people from your area.
A member explains
BNI Lleida
Four groups to connect the whole province
BNI Lleida aims to have four groups running and connected to each other. Members get to know and refer members of the other groups too.
“Presentations, business referrals and, above all, the strength of trust and collaboration between business owners.”

Frequently asked questions
What you'll want to know
How much does it cost?
A €475 joining fee and a €999 yearly fee (plus VAT). That's about €19 a week. The useful question is how many customers you'd need to cover it: we'll work it out together using your average sale. There are also 2-year (1,599 € + VAT) and 5-year (3,999 € + VAT) fees, which work out cheaper.
I don't have time for weekly meetings.
It isn't time spent on BNI, it's time spent growing your sales. Compare it with the time you already spend looking for new customers and what it brings back.
Can people from other sectors really help me?
BNI isn't about selling to your fellow members. Each member can open the door to their customers, suppliers and acquaintances. That's why they need to know exactly who your ideal customer is.
What if I'm not sure I can give referrals?
You don't need to arrive with a list. The meetings, training and 1-to-1s are there precisely to learn how to spot opportunities for others.
I need to check with my business partner.
Of course. Come to the Business Café together, or let's have a coffee and we'll give you everything you need to decide.
Who's behind this
Hi, I'm Enric Ichart

I'm a director consultant at BNI Lleida and I'm building the Mollerussa group. For over 35 years I've worked with businesses, advisers and accountancy firms in the area. If you'd like to know whether BNI fits your business, let's have a coffee and talk it through, with no commitment.
